| Description: We sought to determine the subcellular localization of the non-coding H19 ICR transcripts. We separated nuclear and cytoplasmic RNA fractions from mouse embryonic fibroblasts. Igf2 and H19 gene transcripts were found both in the nucleus and in the cytoplasm, whereas the ncICR transcripts were almost exclusively detected in the nuclear fraction (Fig 1D), which is consistent with a function in gene expression. | |||
