| Description: Wilkie and Davis (Wilkie and Davis, 2001) have shown that wg mRNA localizes apically in a Dynein-dependent fashion when injected into syncitial stage Drosophila embryos. Consistent with their findings, we found that reporter RNA containing the wg 3UTR is localized to apical cytoplasm within 8 minutes after injection, in 97% of embryos (construct FL, Fig. 1B, Table 2). | |||
