Description: MiR-199a-3p and miR-125a-5p appeared more concentrated in the nucleoplasm and cytoplasm compared with the nucleolus; their hybridization pattern more closely resembled that of let-7a, a microRNA that earlier in situ hybridization experiments had shown not to be concentrated in the nucleolus (Fig. 3; Politz et al. 2006).
