Description: To help distinguish between these alternatives, we made several constructs in which we linked the Xlsirts localization signals to various regions of the full-length Vg1 mRNA (Fig. 1) and tested the ability of the chimeric RNAs to move to the mitochondrial cloud in stage 1 oocytes.
